ARCH. NATI INVITED TO VISIT THE MANILA SKYWAY CONSTRUCTION SITE

MANILA, March 2 –The Executive Vice President of Trevi Foundations Philippines’s, Mr. Francesco Zappone, received a courtesy visit by representative of IDC-Italpinas Development Corporation, Arch. Romolo Nati, CEO and Chairman, and Arch. Giovanni Gusella, consultant, to tour the construction site of the Manila Skyway.

The Manila Skyway project, as Mr. Zappone espressed, aims, among other objectives, to connect the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), decongest traffic in Metro Manila especially C4 (EDSA), C5 (CP Garcia) and Central Metro Manila and complete Metro Manila Skyway System from Alabang to Balintawak.

Trevi Foundations Philippine, division of the Italian listed firm Trevi Finanziaria Industriale SpA, established in 1957 and now with over 30 branches in over 80 countries, was awarded in 2015 the contract for the foundation works of the urban motorway viaduct that will be serving, with 6 lanes and a total length of about 14 km, as the main expressway in southern Metro Manila. The Italian company won the contract with two of the largest local construction manufacturers, DMCI and EEI, and will carry out, overall, more than 2,000 piles with different diameters on which the massive overhead structures will be built.

The Stage 3, still under construction, started in April 2014 and, as Mr. Zappone explained, represents one of the most important and complex infrastructure projects of the Philippines of the last decade, and has been carried out not only in complex logistical conditions, given the congested urban areas it crosses, but also technical conditions considering the diameter and depth of the piles.

At the end of the site visit Arch. Nati invited Mr. Zappone to meet again and tour together Italpinas’ projects’ sites in Luzon and Mindanao. The eco-friendly and sustainable projects of IDC (Italpinas Development Corporation), a publicly listed real estate development company established in the Philippines in 2009 have been garnered numerous national and international awards in real estate and design.

Primavera City, IDC’s second sustainable mixed-use condominium project under construction in Cagayan de Oro City, is a complex of residential and commercial units composed of seven buildings that will be developed in four (4) phases, with passive and active green architectural features. The project received the Best Mixed-use Development award by the International Property Award-Asia Pacific in 2017 and is also under accreditation by EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiency) that is the Green Building Rating System developed by IFC (the International Financial Corporation from the World Bank Group).

The Company third and latest project, Miramonti Green Residences, a high-rise mixed-use green building located in Sto. Tomas, Batangas (Luzon) has recently won the prestigious Asia Property Awards 2019-2020 by The International Property Awards in the category of Mixed-use Development for Philippines. The project was also awarded Best Innovation Project of the year by Lamudi-Outlook Property Award 2018, organized by the top Philippine real estate portal Lamudi.
