ARCHITECT NATI CONFIRMED AS SPEAKER IN KUALA LUMPUR SUMMIT

Italpinas Development Corporation (IDC) Chairman and CEO, Architect Romolo V. Nati, confirmed his participation as a speaker at the upcoming Sustainability Summit Asia 2018 slated this November 15 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Said to offer a “Global perspective on a country’s place in the world and its future outlook,” The Sustainability Summit Asia 2018 has been organized by the weekly magazine format newspaper, The Economist, to bring together different experts such as scientists, NGO representatives, government leaders, entrepreneurs and academics for a day of high-level discussions on possible solutions to achieve economic growth and development in Asia.

Arch. Nati, along with multiple speakers, will be joining the ranks as one of the fellow esteemed speakers providing insight from the Asian economic growth, participating in a panel discussion about “Urbanization and Mass Migration” joined by Ankit Agarwal, co-founder of Help Us Green and, as moderator, Andrew Staples, editorial director of The Economist Corporate Network.

Arch. Nati is said to provide an insight on long-term green investments and possibly sharing ideas and perspectives on urbanization of emerging cities in third world countries specifically in the Philippines, where Italpinas Development Corporation, a publicly listed Italian-Filipino company, has developed eco-friendly mixed-use projects in Northern Mindanao, such as Primavera Residences and Primavera City, both awarded by international organizations. The construction of the third and latest project, a high-rise green building located in Sto. Tomas, Batangas in the Luzon region, called Miramonti Green Residences, will begin before the end of the year.Arch. Nati is still the only speaker confirmed to represent the Philippines so far.

As Asia becomes the fastest-growing region by 2030, a circular economy emerges across the region – aiming to “maximize usage and minimize waste.” This Summit has been set-up not only to find a platform of discourse to seek solutions to the said conflicts but also to serve as a table for discussion regarding environmental issues such as climate change, renewable energy, and sustainable infrastructure and to offer fresh and challenging perspectives on the opportunities for the region.
