Accounting Associate
Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, receipts, sales, and payments.
Process invoices, reconciliations, and payments according to Australian accounting principles.
Manage accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations in compliance with Australian accounting regulations.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
Assist in preparing financial statements and reports in accordance with Australian GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Support with statutory reporting requirements and compliance.
Calculate and process payroll payments, including superannuation contributions.
Ensure compliance with Australian payroll tax regulations.
Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and Australian tax guidelines.
Assist employees with reimbursement inquiries and submissions.
Manage accounting-related correspondence and emails, ensuring timely responses and coordination with stakeholders.
Maintain organized filing systems and ensure proper documentation management.
Assist with the preparation and filing of BAS (Business Activity Statements) and other tax returns as required.
Stay updated on Australian tax regulations and ensure timely compliance.
Participate in special accounting projects and process improvements as assigned.
Contribute to enhancing efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting function.
