Accounting Associate

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, receipts, sales, and payments.

  • Process invoices, reconciliations, and payments according to Australian accounting principles.

  • Manage accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments.

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations in compliance with Australian accounting regulations.

  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.

  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports in accordance with Australian GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

  • Support with statutory reporting requirements and compliance.

  • Calculate and process payroll payments, including superannuation contributions.

  • Ensure compliance with Australian payroll tax regulations.

  • Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and Australian tax guidelines.

  • Assist employees with reimbursement inquiries and submissions.

  • Manage accounting-related correspondence and emails, ensuring timely responses and coordination with stakeholders.

  • Maintain organized filing systems and ensure proper documentation management.

  • Assist with the preparation and filing of BAS (Business Activity Statements) and other tax returns as required.

  • Stay updated on Australian tax regulations and ensure timely compliance.

  • Participate in special accounting projects and process improvements as assigned.

  • Contribute to enhancing efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting function.
