Housekeeping Supervisor

  • Supervises housekeeping staff as duties are being performed.

  • Stocks and maintains supply rooms; orders supplies according to a budget.

  • Receives, processes, and handles guest complaints in regard to housekeeping services.

  • Ensures that all areas are kept clean and free from hazards.

  • Organizes all staff during the day and hosts daily meetings with housekeeping staff.

  • Assists guests, clients or organizers with questions and basic requests.

  • Provides a high level of customer service at all times; remains professional.

  • Provides progress reports and address issues.

  • Understands the principles behind providing excellent customer service to guests.

  • Possesses the ability to manage a team of housekeepers effectively.

  • Demonstrates organizational skills required for ensuring that tasks are completed in a timely manner.

  • Shows basic budgeting skills and the ability to keep cleaning supplies and equipment stocked according to a budget.

  • Exhibits the ability to teach others how to do their jobs in a friendly, courteous and effective manner.

  • Is able to perform several tasks at the same time.

  • Shows basic computer knowledge for the purposes of scheduling, recordkeeping, report preparation and more.
