IDC Joins Corporate Governance Training
To further reinforce the Philippines’ anti-money laundering, the Philippine Corporate Enhancement and Governance, Inc. hosted a training on corporate governance and Anti-Money Laundering Act to an audience of banks and companies, last December 20, 2017 held at Dusit Thani Hotel, Ayala Center, Makati City, Philippines.
One of the registrants is Italpinas Development Corporation represented by its chairman and chief executive officer, Architect Romolo Nati, and board directors, namely, Atty. Christine Base, Atty. Jose Fidel Acuna, Mr. Jose Araullo , and Atty Richard David Funk II, one of the speakers of the event.
Topics discussed during the training include updates on corporate governance regulatory developments in 2016, pointers to ensure effective practice, corporate risk management, and compliance with the Anti-Money Laundering Law (AMLA).
Speakers are Catherine N. Saplala, former Director of Investments and Research Department Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Mercedes B. Suleik, former Deputy Director, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, and Atty. Richard David C. Funk II, former Deputy Director/Head Compliance & Investigation Group Anti-Money Laundering Secretariat, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).
