IDC REPRESENTS AT THE 51ST ADB ANNUAL MEETING

Italpinas Development Corporation Chairman Arch. Romolo V. Nati was invited by the Development Bank of the Philippines for the 51st ADB Annual Meeting held in Edsa Shangri-La hotel last May 3, 2018.

The event was in association with Development Bank of the Philippines and Daiwa Securities Group Inc., a company that primarily operates as a securities broker-dealer not only in Japan but also internationally. The event was also attended by several leaders of Philippine’s top business community.

ADB was established in the early 1960s as a financial institution that fosters economic growth and cooperation in the poorest regions in Asia.

DBP on the other hand, is the country’s most progressive development banking institution. Through the years, DBP has been a key player in nation-building by assisting critical industries and sectors, promoting entrepreneurship particularly in the countryside, helping build more productive communities, advancing environmental protection and contributing to the improvement of lives of the Filipinos across the nation.

DBP and Italpinas forged its partnership in relation to IDC’s newest sustainable development, Primavera City, which is strategically situated in the prime location of Uptown Cagayan de Oro City. DBP and IDC have a similar vision in nation-building and it is exhibited thru IDC’s developments. While many developers avoid emerging cities and focus on highly urbanized area, IDC, instead, choose emerging cities in the country for its developments.

Built-in with green strategies, Primavera City will harness the best principles of passive cooling technology: shadow and sunlight control, wind cooling and shape performance. It will feature renewable energy that will be produced from semi-transparent photovoltaic panels found on the roof, covering the amenities deck, and on the external, east-side walls. The project will also have water recycling and rain harvesting systems. All these green features will make Primavera City unit and building maintenance very cost effective. The project is also designed to be ‘disaster-proof’, able to withstand strong typhoons and earthquakes.

Primavera City, recently launched its remaining inventories last May 16, 2018, for its 4th, 5th and 6th floors and now has a total 86% sold units for Tower A and 55% sold units for Tower B.

Primavera City was awarded as the “Best Mixed Use Condominium” at the Asian Property Award Competition and it is also in the process to be rated as a “Green Building” by EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiency ) the green building rating system developed by IFC (International Finance Corporation) which is part of the World Bank.

To date, IDC has successfully developed two (2) structures that are internationally recognized and EDGE Certified (Excellence In Design For Greater Excellence) and also awarded by the Asian Property Award.

With these architectural solutions, IDC ensures its contribution to progressive and sustainable development and nation building.
