IDC’S CEO NOMINATED FOR ASIA CEO AWARDS 2018

Nominated among a total of 9 elite nominees for this year’s JLL Expatriate Executive of the Year award from Asia CEO Awards, is Italpinas Development Corporation’s (IDC) CEO and Chairman, Architect Romolo Valentino Nati.
Asia CEO Awards is the largest business awards event in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. The JLL Expatriate Executive of the Year award is open to any non-Filipino who achieved measurable success while overseeing a business enterprise within the Philippines. One of the qualifications for judging the winner for the category is that a certain nominee should have accomplished a strong contribution to the development of the country’s economic capabilities.
At 16 years old, Architect Nati’s interest in architecture grew when he flew to Hong Kong, New York City, Chicago, Singapore and other major cities following his father who used to work in ALITALIA (Italian Airlines). His early travels developed his interest in modern architecture, instilling a great admiration for skyscrapers. Influenced by Leonardo da Vinci and biomimicry, he also continued developing his architectural style from his appreciation of the elegant and highly-effective function of nature. Moreover, he gained insights from Japanese, North-European, and Organic architecture, and Italian rationalism.
In 2007, he visited the Philippines to introduce green architecture as a realistic approach to development that could be applied in the South East Asian setting. He was then introduced to Atty. Jojo D. Leviste, III, a Sydney-based Filipino lawyer and in 2009, the two teamed up and founded Italpinas Euroasian Design and Eco-development Corporation (ITPI), later on renamed Italpinas Development Corporation (IDC), with him as Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and Leviste as President. The company’s first project was Primavera Residences followed by Primavera City in Cagayan de Oro City; both are uniquely and aesthetically designed green sustainable buildings that have received several notable awards from real estate award-giving bodies. Primavera Residences has also been certified by Edge, a green building certification system for emerging markets offered by the International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group that focuses on private sector development.
The success and growth of the company’s developments in the past years in emerging cities outside imperial Manila is notable in Miramonti, IDC’s third mixed-use green building development at Sto. Tomas, Batangas which truly reflects the company’s brand in developing nature-inspired, innovative, sustainable and safe real estate products. Furthermore, the company’s plan of expanding nationwide is now in the works with Visayas being eyed as the location for its fourth development.
The Asia CEO Grand Awards Night will be held this October 16, 2018, at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, Pasay Metro Manila.
