IDC’S PRIMO CONSIGLIERE AT THE 2019 Investors Forum for the Sustainable Mobility Project in Cagayan de Oro City

“Today’s investment forums culminates a series of activities in support of the Sustainable Mobility Project, SMP is a global framework developed by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development to support integrated planning and implementation of urban sustainability” – Dr. Jose P. Leviste Jr., IDC Primo Consigliere.
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Investors Forum for the Sustainable Mobility Project in Cagayan de Oro City has been held last November 13 in the premises of Limketkai Luxe Hotel, organized by the Philippine Business for the Environment (PBE) in partnership with Oro Chamber, the City Government of Cagayan de Oro and the Climate Change Commission of the Philippines.
The event saw the presence of public and private stakeholders of the local and national business communities, among which the green Real Estate Developer IDC-Italpinas Development Corporation.
“The most important key factors that are needed to finalize the development plans are harmony and unity, these essential elements will allow us to achieve our goals for our city. This development plan will not show immediate results and its completion will take years before we can enjoy its benefits. Thus, we have to be patient and to be united throughout” said City Mayor of Cagayan de Oro, Hon. Oscar S. Moreno.
The Metro-Cagayan de Oro Master Plan had its origins in 1990 when the Metro CDO Special Development Project was first introduced by regional planners through the Integrated Area Development paradigm than in vogue. This was formed in 1996 by the proposal to develop a Comprehensive Metro CDO Master Plan.
The project consists of economic development, land use, transport and connectivity, environment and disaster risk reduction, housing, services and facilities, recreation and tourism, energy and power.
Metropolitan Cagayan de Oro was formally included in the Philippine Development Plan of 2017-2022 which envisions Region 10’s position in National Development with the development of Metro CDO as the Philippines’ 4th Metropolitan Center by 2025 as a principal gateway & trans-shipment hub, and key educational center with potential growth in agribusiness, and tourism.
“The first time I came to Cagayan de Oro was way back in the 50’s. And it was in 2008 that I met Arch. Nati who had the ambition to create sustainable projects across the country and Cagayan de Oro was the best location for its first project. Hence, Primavera Residences, a two towers green mid rise building, completed in 2014 .” explained Dr. Jose Leviste Jr., IDC’s Primo Consigliere.
Dr. Jose Leviste Jr. is the Primo Consigliere (Senior Advisor) of Italpinas Development Corporation (IDC), which develops green sustainable buildings in emerging cities. Its flagship project Primavera Residences and its second ongoing development , Primavera City, eco-friendly mixed-use developments, are both located in Uptown Cagayan de Oro in Northern Mindanao while the third and upcoming Miramonti Green Residences is strategically located within the compound of the industrial park LISSP III in Sto. Tomas Batangas.
“IDC’s developments constitute an eco-friendly community here in Cagayan de Oro. IDC is a design driven company that is committed to deliver environmental sustainability through its architectural solutions. And the support showed by Kagay-anons is welcoming and it is a good indicator that the people are ready and willing to embrace the philosophy of sustainable living” added Dr. Leviste.
Both Primavera Residences and Primavera City have been awarded as the Best Mixed Use Building in the Philippines by the Asian Property Awards. The latest feather on IDC’s cappello arrived in November 2018 with its Miramonti Green Residences winning Best Innovation Project of 2018 from The Outlook-Lamudi, the prestigious online real estate platform and recognized as Best Mixed-Use Development of the year 2019 in the Asia-Pacific Region by International Property Awards.
