ITALPINAS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION INVITED AT THE 2019 REGIONAL BUSINESS CLIMATE ACTION SUMMIT

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Mobility Data Analysis and Solutions Workshops has been held last September 13 in the Limketkai Luxe Hotel Within the Regional Business Climate Action Summit, organized by the NSPP and PBE, Philippine Business for the Environment in partnership with Oro Chamber.
PBE, as one of the partners of the Climate Change Commission in the conduct of the Summit and Workshops, has started the SMP-Sustainable Mobility Project in Cagayan de Oro in the pursuit of providing viable solutions to the City’s transportation and worsening traffic conditions. The Declaration of Commitment to the implementation of the Sustainable Mobility Project (SMP) for Cagayan de Oro City was signed by City Mayor Oscar Moreno on January 2018
One of the fastest growing cities in the Philippines, Cagayan de Oro, that was formally included in the Philippine Development Plan of 2017-2022 as Metropolitan Cagayan de Oro, envisions Region 10’s role in National Development with the emergence of Metro CDO as the Philippines’ 4th Metropolitan Center by 2025 as a major gateway & trans-shipment hub.
With a total population of 1, 219, 005 as of 2015 and total land area of 2,221, 13 square kilometers, Metro CDO initially planned to include the two cities of Cagayan de Oro and El Salvador in Misamis Oriental, eleven municipalities in Misamis Oriental and six municipalities in Bukidnon.Population trends indicate Metro CDO will have a total population of 1,382,574 on 2.73 growth rate by 2020, to grow further to a populace of 1,559,475 on 1.28 growth rate by 2025.
The PBE and NDC inititiave in Cagayan de Oro saw the participation of public and private stakeholders of the local and national business communities, among which the green real estate developer IDC-Italpinas Development Corporation, represented by Mr.Giovanni Gusella and Ms. Clara Elizaga.

Successful example of design driven developer of sustainable properties with unique value propositions, IDC’s multi-awarded first two green projects, Primavera Residences and Primavera City, have been developed in Cagayan de Oro, (northern Mindanao), while the third and latest eco-friendly high-rise project, Miramonti Gren Residences, is located in Sto. Tomas, Batangas (Luzon). Both cities, that where considered few years ago as secondary cities are currently among the fastest growing areas in the respective regions.
