ITALPINAS SPEARHEADS VERONA-CDO SISTER CITY PROJECT

Expressing the intent for Cagayan de Oro City to partner and become a sister city of Verona, Italy, the Office of the City Council presented Resolution No. 13023-2018 stating the “City’s desire and interest to forge a Sister City relation or twinning agreement with the City of Verona, Veneto Region, Italy, with the end in view of promoting mutual understanding and goodwill as well as technical exchange and cooperation on the various dimensions of local governance.”
Lorenz Ziller, Executive Director of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines Inc. (ICCPI), personally appeared in the City Hall last October 30, 2018 and met Mayor Oscar Moreno and Eileen San Juan, Local Economic & Investment Promotion Officer (LEIPO) along with Clara Marie Elizaga, IDC’s Director for Corporate Affairs and Frances Mae Galvez, IDC’s Brand Manager, for the handover of the invitation letter and City Council Resolution for the City Sisterhood Proposal.
Italpinas Development Corporation (IDC), a green-real estate developer who started its roots in Cagayan de Oro City with developments like Primavera Residences and Primavera City, takes pride as the forerunner in the said partnership in coordination with the Local Government Unit of the city.
